Project Overview

A few years ago, Milhoan Design had the pleasure of working with Ed Roberson, a Colorado-based conservationist and creator of Mountain & Prairie—a top-ranked podcast recognized by the Aspen Institute, High Country News, Apple Podcasts, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the Montana Governor’s Office of Outdoor Recreation, and more.

Ed reached out with a request for some graphic design and illustration needs for a new line of merchandise he would be launching that would speak to his eclectic audience, people from all walks of life, all across the globe. After some initial brainstorming and audience research, we put the pen to the screen (Apple Pencil and iPod Pro) and began sketching.

Milhoan Design corralled my unorganized, all-over-the-place ideas and transformed them into stunning, impactful artwork that perfectly represents the Mountain & Prairie brand."

I hope you enjoy this art as much as I enjoyed creating it!

The above image is a clip from a sticker titled, "Live Strenuously," one of Ed's mottos that he lives by each and every day.

An Apache Saddle Bronc Rider

This piece is titled, "Apache Saddle Bronc Rider" and it was hand-illustrated on an Apple iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil in a software program called Procreate. This graphic was then exported layer by layer to Adobe Illustrator and vectorized so that it can be scaled to any dimension needed.
